Writing and editing customer newsletters & magazines
A one-day training seminar
A couple of years ago I (Richard Groom, Owner & Senior Writer) took over the task of writing most of the articles for a client's customer magazine. We first looked at the content that had been featured in past issues. I suggested changes that might make for a more interesting and effective magazine.
A few days after the next issue was published, the editor received this email from one of her company's senior directors: "I have recently read the latest edition of the magazine. It is excellent. In the time since I have worked for this company I can't remember a promotional document that was so useful for me in my work. More of this, and the staff satisfaction survey results will be shooting up for your department! Thank you and congratulations to you and the team."
Now you can learn the tried and tested techniques I used. You can make your customer newsletter more interesting to readers. In doing so, it will become a more effective part of your marketing strategy. (And what's more, these techniques actually make it EASIER for you to produce each issue.)
This will be a great day of learning for anyone who edits or writes customer newsletters or magazines. Did you suddenly find yourself editing a magazine, or contributing articles? Perhaps you have no previous experience of this work. Maybe the magazine is just one of many responsibilities you have to fulfil every day.
After attending, you’ll be able to produce more effective newsletters and magazines, in less time and with less effort. After over ten years of editing and writing newsletters, I have brought the very best insider secrets, tips, short cuts and resources into one seminar. It will be packed with new ideas about the marketing strategy for these publications AND about how to generate MORE and better quality content with LESS effort.
You’ll create a valuable ‘to-do’ list of actions that will dramatically improve your newsletter. This isn’t just about theory: it’s about giving you a day to identify the areas where your newsletter needs to improve, and practical ways to do it. You’ll leave with a list of easy improvements you can make the next day, as well as some longer term changes that are also achievable.
You will also leave with a booklet full of tips, techniques, exercises and resources. Everything covered at the seminar will be in the booklet, but so too will many pages of additional information. You’ll still be using the booklet in a few years’ time as a valuable source of support and inspiration.
