"So what do you do?"

I often get asked this question.

When I started my business I expected to spend all my time writing. Of course, copywriting is still my main activity. But the detailed questionning and brainstorming process I use at the start of most new tasks also often helps my clients to take a fresh view of their marketing communications.

I can help to bring new inspiration and clarity to your marketing work. This comes from by briefing processes and from the application of my marketing communications knowledge and experience. Sometimes even the simplest of the tricks of the trade that I have picked up over the years help clients to improve their marketing materials, while on other occasions between us we come up with an entirely new approach.

Pease scroll down to read about some of the the specific media I help to develop.

Brochures and leaflets

What makes a good brochure or leaflet? Probably it’s that they:
1. Identify with your potential customers’ problems.
2. Show that you can solve them.

Bad ones? Well we all know what happens to the bad ones.

Web sites

Too many business people say, ‘I just need a web site because everyone else has one.’ Why settle for second best? Why spend money on designing, building and hosting a site ‘just because . . . ‘?

If you put a little more thought into your web site it could:

  • Demonstrate to people that you know what you are talking about and that you really can help them.
  • Help you build a relationship with potential customers.
  • Guarantee that people you attract through other activity will be impressed when visiting the site.
  • Cut down the time spent on each sale - because the information you have to talk through each time can be placed on the site.
  • Get people interested in your business - you can pick up business from people using search engines.

If you accept second best then your web site could:

  • Actually put people off doing business with you.

What would you prefer?

Newsletters

Newsletters are a great way to keep in regular contact with clients and potential clients. Pack them with useful, interesting information and they will help keep your profile high. Why fill them with endless articles about your new premises, new orders and other things that your customers don't care about? Please get in touch if you want to have a free and no-obligation chat about how you can produce a newsletter or magazine that your customers will actually want to read.

Presentation scripts and speeches

Scripts for sales presentations, press conferences, networking events - even just your ’30 second CV’. Your script should be right for your target audience, and for your personality and style.

Press releases

Our press releases have generated great coverage for our own business and for our clients. Although we don’t claim to be a fully-fledged PR agency, we know how to produce something that journalists will want to use in their publications.

Please contact us to discuss any general issues or to see if we could help with a particular task.

Home

Richard Groom has a rare gift of listening, understanding and expressing the message that we want our clients to read and hear. Since retaining his services his versatility has been astounding. We now have vision documents, standard letters, product and service brochures, a web site and press releases that work.

I used to spend hours on the words then end up frustrated because it was not really what I wanted to say or in a way that I wanted to say it. Now I give all that to Richard and get on with what I am good at, business and life coaching.

I recommend Peterborough Copywriting Bureau to anyone who wants to save costs, add value and get a first class message that engages their customers in any media.
