It's hard to give accurate information about prices, but let me try to give some ball park figures. As a rough guide, projects like writing a brochure or other document of 8-12 pages generally cost from a few hundred pounds to a couple of thousand pounds. A one-off article, case study or press release might cost from £100 to £500 pounds. A website might cost from £50 to £150 pounds per page. It all depends on the type and depth of content. Let me hear what you need and I'll give you a quote.
I usually work out a project price so you know how much it will cost at the outset. I base the price on how long I think it will take for me to carry out research such as interviews and background reading, how much writing is involved and any extra input I might have. Unless your brief or the scope changes drastically I stick to the project price. Overall, I like to keep prices as reasonable as possible and I rarely charge for 'extras' like client meetings and other expenses. I can also work to a day rate or retainer if you wish.

Writing marketing materials is not everyone's strong point. Even the best marketing execs or managers might struggle with it. You're awesome at strategy, PR or campaign planning, so you can't be good at writing too, right?
No shame in that. I'm no good at accountancy or changing the brake pads on my Honda so I get someone to do that for me, so why shouldn't you get help with the things you aren't great at (or don't have time for)?
But copywriting is my thing. Without blowing my own trumpet too much, what my clients say they like about me is that I am a good writer (that should be a given) but also that I 'get' marketing. After my years of studying and teaching marketing that's how it should be. The fact that I've worked with many different organisations in multiple sectors is even more important, as is my experience of running my own business for 15 years.
